Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: Andheri, Mumbai (Onsite)

About the Role

We're looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Software Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate can create a range of documentation — from in-depth troubleshooting guides and technical reference materials to user-friendly knowledge base articles and accessible guides for non-technical audiences.

This role requires close collaboration with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure our documentation is accurate, complete, and helpful to both technical users and end-users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, write, and maintain:
  • Troubleshooting guides
  • Knowledge base articles
  • User manuals and "how-to" content
  • System architecture overviews
  • Developer/API documentation
  • Layman-friendly explanations of complex features
  • Translate technical concepts into content suitable for varying audiences, including:
  • Developers
  • IT admins
  • End-users with minimal technical background
  • Work with product and engineering teams to understand product updates and translate them into clear documentation.
  • Partner with support teams to identify common issues and produce proactive self-service content.
  • Ensure documentation is consistent with brand voice and style guidelines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, ideally in a SaaS or software development environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to write for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience creating and maintaining troubleshooting and support documentation.
  • Strong interviewing, research, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written English and editing abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with support teams or customer success teams.
  • Ability to read and understand code snippets (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with Docs-as-Code workflows and static site generators (MkDocs, Hugo, etc.).
  • Background in technical support, QA, or software testing.

Pay : ₹40,000 - ₹70,000 Per Month
