With a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and ethical business practices, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team and support our growth and people strategy.

 

Job Overview:

 

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management in the company. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, compliance with labor laws, and ensuring a positive work environment. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Talent Acquisition & Staffing

 

  - Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring for various roles across the organization.

  - Collaborate with department heads to understand workforce requirements and ensure timely hiring to meet production goals.

  - Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top talent, including internships and apprenticeships, particularly for skilled manufacturing roles.

 

 2. Employee Onboarding & Orientation

 

  - Design and manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are properly introduced to company culture, policies, and procedures.

  - Oversee the completion of necessary documentation and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

 

3. Employee Relations

 

  - Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

  - Address employee concerns and conflicts promptly, promoting resolution in a fair and consistent manner.

  - Promote company values and culture, helping maintain high employee morale and satisfaction.

 

4. Performance Management

 

  - Implement and manage a performance appraisal system that aligns with company goals.

  - Provide coaching and support to managers on how to conduct performance reviews and manage employee performance effectively.

  - Assist in creating and monitoring employee development plans.

 

5. Training and Development

 

  - Identify training needs and work with department heads to develop and implement employee development programs, particularly focusing on production skills, safety, and leadership.

  - Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and seminars to ensure employees are up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.

 

  - Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement.

 

6. Compensation & Benefits

 

  - Oversee the administration of the company’s compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with industry standards.

  - Conduct regular salary benchmarking and ensure pay equity across the company.

  - Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding benefits.

 

7. Compliance & Legal Responsibilities

 

  - Ensure the company’s HR practices comply with local, state, and federal labor laws, including wage and hour laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and employment discrimination laws.

  - Stay informed on labor law updates and industry trends to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.

  - Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate safety programs in line with government regulations.

 

8. Health and Safety

 

  - Collaborate with the health and safety department to ensure a safe working environment, with regular audits and training programs on workplace safety.

  - Oversee the implementation of health and safety policies, ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols.

 

9. HR Reporting & Administration

 

  - Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  - Prepare HR metrics and reports for management, tracking key performance indicators such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction.

  - Manage payroll processes in collaboration with the finance department, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for employees.

 

Key Requirements:

 

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (master’s degree preferred).

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and manufacturing industry regulations.

- Experience with HR software and systems (HRIS, payroll, etc.).

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels and foster a collaborative work culture.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).

- Experience in the apparel manufacturing industry is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and how HR can support continuous improvement initiatives.

  

Working Conditions:

 

- Full-time position, with the possibility of occasional overtime during peak production periods.

- Working hours: 9 AM - 7 PM, { Monday – Saturday }
