Role: Methods ManagerCompany: Lucas TVSExperience: 15 - 24 yearsLocation: ChennaiIndustry: Auto Electrical / ManufacturingJob Description:About the Role:Lucas TVS is seeking an experienced Methods / Manufacturing Engineering Leader to drive process optimisation, new product introduction, and continuous improvement across production lines. This is a leadership role responsible for improving productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:- Lead methods engineering activities across multiple manufacturing processes.- Set up, stabilise, and optimise processes for new and existing product lines.- Drive continuous improvement in cycle time, consumables, process capability, and cost.- Lead troubleshooting and process enhancements across production operations.- Conduct trials, validate processes, and ensure readiness for mass production.- Collaborate with design, production, quality, and customer teams for process alignment.- Review PFMEA, PPAP, and ensure process documentation is complete and compliant.- Guide tool/fixture design requirements and coordinate with internal teams.- Manage and mentor a team of ~10 engineers and drive operational excellence.Candidate Profile:- 15-24 years of experience in Methods / Manufacturing / Process Engineering.- Leadership experience in an auto or auto-electrical manufacturing setup.- Strong knowledge of process validation, PFMEA, PPAP, and line optimisation.- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.- Ability to lead shop-floor teams and drive performance improvements.
