We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Financial Analyst to drive our fundraising efforts by synthesizing complex data into actionable insights. This pivotal role involves combining financial analysis, data interpretation, market research, and strategic planning to craft compelling narratives for potential investors. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of financial acumen, data expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flows, ensuring accuracy and scenario planning capabilities.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, including valuation, sensitivity studies, and risk assessments to support fundraising strategies.
  • Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets from diverse sources to derive meaningful insights regarding market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning.
  • Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to present findings in clear, compelling formats for investor presentations.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify growth opportunities, competitive landscapes, and industry trends that impact fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate market insights into the company's strategic positioning and fundraising narrative.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to prepare investment memorandums, pitch decks, and presentations that articulate the company's financial story, growth potential, and investment attractiveness.
  • Assist in due diligence processes by compiling and organizing financial documentation and responding to investor inquiries.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights to optimize fundraising strategies and align financial goals with the company's growth trajectory.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and senior management to refine financial strategies and business plans.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and other project expenses based on project requirements and specifications. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring they align with client expectations and organizational objectives.
  • Monitor project expenses throughout the project lifecycle, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures as needed to keep costs within budget Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Provide regular updates on project costs, budget status, and financial forecasts to project stakeholders, including clients, management, and project teams.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures without compromising quality or performance.
  • Evaluate and price change orders and variations to the original scope of work, ensuring they are properly documented and approved by relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, budgets, invoices, and other financial documentation related to the project. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to cost estimation and project management, and incorporate them into existing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.


POTENTIAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIMA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in strategic cost management, performance evaluation, or financial analysis, preferably in a managerial or consulting role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, conduct root cause analysis, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business results and achieving sustainable cost savings.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, cost accounting principles, and performance measurement techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
