We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Strategic Financial Analyst to boost our fundraising efforts by transforming complex data into actionable insights. This crucial role involves financial analysis, data interpretation, market research, and strategic planning to create engaging narratives for potential investors. The ideal candidate will have a mix of financial expertise, data proficiency, strategic thinking, and strong communication abilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and update robust financial models to predict revenue, expenses, and cash flows accurately, with scenario planning capabilities.
- Perform thorough financial analyses, covering valuation, sensitivity studies, and risk assessments to back fundraising strategies.
- Collect, refine, and analyze large datasets from various sources to extract meaningful insights on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning.
- Utilize statistical methods and data visualization tools to present discoveries in clear, engaging formats for investor presentations.
- Conduct detailed market studies to pinpoint growth opportunities, competitive landscapes, and industry trends affecting fundraising efforts.
- Cooperate with diverse teams to integrate market insights into the company's strategic stance and fundraising storyline.
- Collaborate with top management to prepare investment memorandums, pitch decks, and presentations outlining the company's financial narrative, growth potential, and investment appeal.
- Aid in due diligence processes by compiling financial documents and addressing investor questions.
- Offer strategic suggestions based on data-driven insights to enhance fundraising strategies and align financial objectives with the company's growth path.
- Work with the CEO and senior staff to refine financial strategies and business plans.
- Estimate project costs for materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses based on project requirements. Manage project budgets to ensure they meet client expectations.
- Monitor project expenses, identify variances, and take corrective actions to maintain costs within budget limits. Identify and address potential risks that may affect project costs.
- Provide regular updates on project costs, budget status, and financial forecasts to stakeholders.
- Explore value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures with project teams without compromising quality.
- Evaluate and price change orders and work variations, ensuring proper documentation and stakeholder approval.
- Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, budgets, invoices, and other financial project documents.
- Keep updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to cost estimation and project management.
POTENTIAL CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIMA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in strategic cost management, performance evaluation, or financial analysis, ideally in a managerial or consulting capacity.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and offer actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
- Strategic thinking focused on driving business outcomes and achieving lasting cost efficiencies.
