Mandatory skills: FinOps Analyst for Cloud estate in Microsoft :

- Create a Cloud FinOps Governance framework.

- Establish the cost management process for our Cloud environment.

- Identify opportunities for cost optimization like rightsizing, purging, etc.

- Optimize Cloud costs by tracking cost plans, Commitment discounts, and enterprise savings plans -Cloud Rate Optimization

- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure capacity and demand forecasts monitoring and tracking of cloud capacity & resource mgmt. for all services.

- Define cloud cost performance KPIs, benchmarking, and tracking them.

- Enable real-time decision-making using FinOps analytics.

- Define the FinOps maturity model based on FinOps.org and define steps for progress.

Benchmarking & tracking :

- Implement cost optimization and governance strategies for continuous cost optimization

- Collaborate & liaise among IT and Finance teams.

- Help to build a FinOps center of excellence.

- Leadership skills to lead a team of FinOps Analyst and CCOE Engineers


- Enable Organizational Alignment

- Intersection of FinOps & ITSM


- Intersection of FinOps & IT Security

Work Experience & Skills :


- Overall work experience of 11+ years


- 5+ years' experience working as Cloud FinOps Analyst


- 2+ years' experience leading FinOps and Cloud engineering teams


- Experience with cloud billing and cost management modules


- Good knowledge of forecasting, and predicting cost of organizations / organizational units


- Reporting and cost financial data maintenance and availability management.


- Stakeholder management and liaising with multiple verticals.


- Automation and tooling for FinOps analytics


- Experience with PowerShell & Terraform


- Experience working within an Agile framework.


- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and ambiguous environment by combining analytical rigor and judgment.


- Strong commitment to exceptional customer experience, enthusiasm to drive positive change, and persuasive ability.

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (ability to present detailed technical analysis, assumptions, and recommendations succinctly.

- Good people management and project management skills Preferred Skills

- Power BI and Azure Analytics - Tableau would be an add-on

- Experience with PowerShell & Terraform - FinOps Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience/certification - AZ-900 or above AZ-104
