Role Summary: 

The specialist will be responsible for fixed income instruments analysis, execution of the related processes end to end and interpretation of credit ratings and suggesting credit enhancement mechanisms. The position needs a financial analyst with in-depth knowledge of Fixed income instruments including bonds, loans, securitisation, debentures, mezzanine finance instruments. Also, the candidate must have a strong understanding of credit rating mechanisms and credit enhancement strategies.  

 

Key Tasks & Accountability: 

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate the potential of companies to raise funds through various debt instruments. 
  • Understanding various fixed income instruments and assessing the key parameters like yield, duration, credit risk, and market conditions.  
  • Understanding of all stakeholders involved in the entire process of issuance of instruments. 
  • Identify and analyse the potential risks associated with specific instruments issuance. 
  • Evaluate and interpret credit ratings from major agencies, understanding their impact on investment decisions, analysing the impact of changes in credit ratings on portfolios. 
  • Analysing and suggesting various credit enhancement mechanisms and strategies, to improve the quality of instruments by reducing risk involved. 
  • Understanding of credit enhancement mechanisms such as guarantees, insurance, collateralised instruments, hedging strategies and the process to execute them end to end. 


Education and Experience: 

  • Domain expertise and qualifications include, but are not limited to: 
  • Master's degree relevant to the Finance, Business and Economics. 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in fixed income instruments analysis and credit rating agencies. 
  • Climate specific financial instruments knowledge is a plus  

 

Skills: 

  • In-depth understanding of various fixed income instruments (e.g., bonds, securitised products, and loans etc) 
  • Understanding of credit risk modelling and expertise in credit risk assessment, including the ability to analyse financial statements and evaluate creditworthiness of companies. 
  • In depth knowledge of credit enhancement mechanisms and the processes to execute them end to end.
