Job Title: Lead - Content Writer/Editor

Location: Mumbai

Reporting to: Director, RSVP and Allied Events

Role Overview: We’re looking for an experienced Lead Content Writer/Editor to shape our editorial voice, craft compelling stories, and oversee content strategy. This role calls for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for writing and an eye for strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation: Develop and refine diverse content, from articles and blog posts to press releases, that aligns with ABEC's goals and audience interests.
  2. Editorial Leadership: Review and edit content for clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines, while implementing SEO practices.
  3. Story Development: Conduct thorough research on industry trends to inspire fresh, engaging topics; collaborate across teams to create stories that resonate.
  4. Content Planning: Support the development of content calendars and editorial strategies to drive engagement and brand awareness.
  5. SEO Strategy: Optimize content with relevant keywords and SEO tactics for improved visibility and traffic.
  6. Audience Engagement: Adapt content for various platforms, monitor reader interaction, and evaluate engagement metrics.
  7. Collaboration on Multimedia Content: Work with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to bring content to life with visuals and multimedia elements.
  8. Distribution and Promotion: Support content distribution efforts across social channels, ensuring effective formatting and messaging.
  9. Trend Awareness: Keep up with industry developments to inform content ideas and maintain relevance.
  10. Content Quality: Ensure content is accurate, compliant with standards, and maintains brand integrity.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in content writing, editing, or editorial strategy, ideally in a media or marketing setting.
  • Proven expertise in SEO best practices, keyword research, and digital content strategy.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a strong command of grammar and tone.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively, and meet deadlines.


Qualifications:

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media tools.
  • Understanding of multimedia content creation, including visuals and interactive elements.
  • Experience in tracking and analyzing content performance metrics.
