It consists of over 30 well-known brands and nearly 8,900 properties situated in 141 countries and territories.Role Title: Senior Network Engineer IIPosition Summary:The Global Networks - Global Wide Area Network (GWAN) Team is responsible for creating and improving secure network services and solutions that ensure the best experience possible for Marriott Associates, contractors, and customers. This Network Engineer will be part of a team driving the delivery of Marriott’s zero trust network roadmap via leading edge technologies including, Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access, SDWAN, Cloud Networking, and AI/ML enablement. We are looking for a critical thinker who embraces the goal of a fully automated network to help us deliver on our major initiative to transform our global wide area network, providing the foundation for Marriott’s cloud first strategy.Job Responsibilities:- LAN/WAN/WiFi network design, engineering, implementation, and optimization for the Corporate Network product, adhering to all applicable standards including architecture, security, privacy, compliance, etc. with a heavy focus on global WiFi networking. - Network service and circuit capacity management - Project planning and delivery including hardware and software specification, vendor coordination, and full operational turnover - Change planning and run book review - Governance of third-party service providers - Level 3 escalation support for operational issues and/or outages - Collaborate with other key teams including Network Architects, Test and Certification, Information Security, Finance, Procurement, etc. - Participate in product strategy and planning - Develop and execute new initiatives to simplify, standardize, optimize, and automate the network designs, tooling, and operations, reducing implementation cycle times, minimizing/eliminating service downtime, and optimizing performanceSkill and Experience:- 6+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer with 5 or more years in a hands-on role that implements engineering standards, documenting engineering designs, and participating in project cutovers. - Implementation of WAN, LAN, and datacenter networks with a focus on mission-critical, customer-facing applications and services - Technical Knowledge in networking (Cisco and non-Cisco) with an emphasis on software defined networking (SDN), firewalls, DNS, NTP, Network Tools and Management as well as common routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc) deployed across large global networks - Direct experience deploying and supporting Prisma Access services including FWaaS and Global Protect. - Experience designing and delivering networking service in public clouds such as AWS, Azure, AliCloud, GCP, OCI, etc - Experience designing and delivering WAN connectivity to public clouds utilizing CSP native connect solutions as well as other service offerings to create the underlay WAN fabric for the network - Experience with writing Infrastructure as a Code for Cloud network components (VPC, RT, TGW, WAN, Shared Services) as well as Firewalls as a Service, SDWAN, SSE/SASE.Other Skills and Attributes- Experience leveraging automation, AI and machine learning to deploy and manage networks - Development and deployment of virtualized network services - Vendor experience: Cisco; Juniper/Mist; Palo Alto Networks FW, Prisma Access and SDWAN; ServiceNow; Netskope; Equinix Fabric; traditional and next-gen underlay providers - Cloud Networking Certifications - Strong inter-personal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with other non-Network technical teams and non-technical customersEducation and Certifications:- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience/certificationWork location: Hyderabad, India.Work mode: Hybrid
