It consists of over 30 well-known brands and nearly 8,900 properties situated in 141 countries and territories.Role Title:Senior Network Cloud Engineer II Position Summary: As a member of the Global Networks – Cloud Network Services, the Senior Network Engineer develops and maintains technical solutions that adhere to engineering and architectural design principles while meeting business requirements. Provides technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security; includes planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards. This role has a heavy emphasis on Network as Code and Infrastructure as Code.Job Responsibilities: Technology Management Manage Cloud Networks products and solutions, including the design, engineering, and delivery of new solutions for Marriott applications across the cloud provider networks Work closely with cloud architects, developers,and security teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients regarding network configurations and best practices. Approve and oversee projects to implement and maintain services while meeting deadlines Manage vendors to meet obligations for engineering design, networkimplementation, and technicalsupport service delivery and service restoration Continuously improve operationsprocesses, develop, and present bestpractices, technical concepts and technologiesfor innovativeCloud Networks solutions Continuously evaluate and recommendnew tools and technologies to enhance network performanceand security. Document network configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain accurate and upto-date recordsTechnical Leadership Contribute input to help manage project schedules, risks, and costs Train and/or mentor other team members and peers, as appropriate Establish cross-team relationships across Marriott to help define services and meet service level requirements Serve as an escalation point to resolve service delivery and operational issues Identify opportunities to enhance theservice delivery processes Participate in capacity planning and scaling of network infrastructure to meet growing demands.IT Governance: Act as primary point of contact for Network Compliance which includes segmentation, patching strategy and IAM Follow all defined standards and processes (e.g. SAFe, IT Governance, and Enterprise Architecture) Provide input for improvementsto the appropriate process owners as needed Maintain a proper balance between business and operational risk Follow the defined project management and/or standards and processes Additional duties as may be assignedSkill and Experience: 6+ years of network development engineering experience including: 5+ years of network development experience, DevOps related work using tools such as AAP, Terraform, Harness and Git to deliver network solutions in the public cloud 5+ years of experience in a lead role leading large scale projects delivering resilient cloud-based network solutions, including both cloud native and vendor specific solutions. Cloud Native networking solutions such as VPC, NLB/ALB, Internet Gateways, Transit Gateways, Route 53 etc. Standard network routing and switching protocols Infrastructure as Code developmentAAP(Ansible) and Terraform with Harness and/orGitActions. Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and secure network architecturesin cloud environmentsacross multiple cloud service providers. Configure and manage cloud networking components, including VPCs,subnets, firewalls, VPNs, and DirectConnect/ExpressRoute. Implement and manage multi-cloud and hybrid connectivity solutions to ensure seamless integration and communication across different cloud platforms and on-premises data centers Strong expertise in either AWS, AliCloud or Azure Networking Technical writing and delivering written documentation pertaining to network solutions and diagramsPreferred : Monitor and optimize network performance, including latency, throughput, and reliability. Conduct regular network performance tests and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues Implement network security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant security standards and policies. Solid understanding of Agile SAFe Experience in public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud. AliCloud) Strong influencing skills and an ability to overcome barriers while driving change through collaboration Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple prioritiesEducation and Certifications: Graduate degree in Computer Science or related Certification such as CCIE, CCNP, PCNSE, CCSA, CCSE or AWS Certified Advanced NetworkingWork location:Hyderabad, India.
