Sav is not a bank, but a tech-driven financial wellness platform empowering people to save smarter, spend better, and achieve financial freedom.Responsibilities :- Design and build scalable, secure backend systems using Node.js, Next.js (API layer), and microservices architecture- Lead the development of complex features and own them end-to-end from requirements to release and monitoring- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA, DevOps, and frontend/mobile engineers to deliver seamless customer experiences- Implement robust data models, APIs, and integrations with banking systems, credit bureaus, cloud infrastructure, and internal services- Optimize application performance and ensure system availability, latency, security, and quality across the stack- Mentor and support mid and junior engineers, performing thoughtful code reviews and sharing best practices- Drive engineering excellence by promoting clean architecture, domain-driven design, observability, and testing culture- Contribute to technical planning, estimation, and decision-making in agile :- 6- 8 years of backend development experience in agile, high-growth product environments- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Node.js, with strong command of asynchronous programming, performance optimization, and API frameworks- Experience with Next.js API routes, Express.js, or similar frameworks- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, message queues, and caching (Redis, etc.)- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) and data modeling for scale- Experience building cloud-native services and working with CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred)- Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills with a product-oriented mindset- Comfortable working in scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional rituals- A sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and take initiativeBenefits :- Be part of a mission-driven fintech scaling across the GCC.- Work alongside a passionate and visionary leadership team.- A flat, fast-paced, no-drama culture with high ownership and high trust- Work alongside a globally distributed team of experienced builders- Compensation : INR 12-24LPA + ESOPs + Employee benefits (ref:hirist.tech)
