Job Summary:

The Senior Vendor Manager role at RKWI requires a dynamic individual who is a staunch advocate for both customers and brands. This position demands proven analytical prowess, exceptional project management abilities, acute attention to detail, and the capacity to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks. The successful candidate will possess a track record of driving category growth and will excel as a communicator, collaborating effectively with RK's key partners, vendors, internal colleagues, and cross-functional leaders. We seek a self-motivated individual with a deep passion for retail and a high degree of flexibility and dedication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as the business owner for assigned categories, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of internal and external variables impacting the business, including strategic context, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.

- Maintain a thorough grasp of industry dynamics, seasonality, business trends, and competitor developments.

- Strategize to maximize RK's profitability and expand selection opportunities.

- Advocate for customer needs, leveraging insights to drive the delivery of site features that enhance the shopping experience.

- Manage vendor relationships, including contract oversight, day-to-day interactions, and negotiation of marketing funds.

- Develop business plans for new opportunities and execute project plans for feature launches, integrating merchandising and pricing strategies.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, adhering to tight deadlines.

- Conduct financial analyses of business opportunities to exceed revenue and profitability targets.

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA from a tier-one institution.

- 5+ years' experience in Account Management, Project/Program Management, or Buying, senior-level experience in retail, operations, and/or business management/consulting, with a track record of results delivery, negotiations and vendor management.

- Advanced proficiency in Excel or other analytical/Business Intelligence tools.

- Exceptional communication skills in speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating.
