The Geophysicist will be involved in the application of geophysical techniques and data interpretation to support field development and reservoir management projects. The candidate will work closely with geologists, petrophysicists, reservoir engineers, and other technical experts to ensure integrated project execution.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Geophysical support and subsurface integration:

• Undertake sub-regional to field level geoscientific data interpretation and integration to unlock full potential of the respective Assets.
• Geophysical inputs for building static models including 2D and 3D seismic interpretations including horizon and fault mapping, synthetic generation, seismic to well ties, velocity modeling and time-to-depth conversion.
• Conduct seismic attribute analysis and utilize seismic inversion deliverables for the reservoir characterization, lithology and fluid discrimination and providing soft constraint for facies and property modelling.
• Knowledge in rock physics, quantitative interpretation (QI) and reservoir characterization.
• Integration of geological, geophysical, petrophysical and reservoir engineering data to build robust static models and develop field development and redevelopment strategies.
• Provide uncertainty estimates for the depth structures and volumetrics.
• Having knowledge in geomechanics and microseismic monitoring will be helpful.
• Provide options for best and optimized subsurface well location for drilling.
• Adopt best practices and workflows in seismic data interpretation and integration.
• Provide technical input and support to external stakeholders like growth partners, JV partners and DGH.

Operations & Drilling Execution:

• Prepare and provide subsurface inputs for Technical Governance & Review Committee.
• Deliver inputs for pre-drill preparation and well prognosis.
• Well monitoring and real time well updates during active drilling campaigns.
• Post-well analyses after drilling of wells.

Qualification & Experience:

Master’s degree in Geophysics or a related field. 7+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas, with a focus on Field development and production. Previous experience across field appraisal, development and production will be an advantage.
