Role Overview

As the Digital Video Lead - English, you will oversee video content creation, distribution, optimization, and performance across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, , OTT platforms, and emerging digital spaces. You will combine editorial strength with data-driven decision-making to deliver high-impact videos that resonate with diverse audiences.

Skills & Competencies

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the English digital video content team, ensuring high editorial standards and engaging storytelling.
  • Conceptualize and execute video formats including explainers, bulletins, interviews, and special shows for digital-first audiences.
  • Oversee end-to-end video production – from ideation, scripting, and anchoring to editing, publishing, and performance tracking.
  • Drive growth of the English YouTube channel and other digital video platforms through audience-centric strategies.
  • Stay ahead of digital trends to create innovative, shareable, and platform-optimized content.
  • Collaborate with newsroom, social media, and graphics teams to ensure brand voice and style consistency.
  • Use analytics to evaluate content performance and refine video strategy accordingly.
  • Mentor junior producers, anchors, and video editors to enhance skill levels and content quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
  • 11–14 years of experience in broadcast/digital journalism, with strong focus on English-language video content.
  • Proven track record in growing digital video channels, especially on YouTube.
  • Strong skills in English with excellent pronunciation and diction.
  • Exceptional storytelling, scriptwriting, and video packaging abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital production tools and workflows.
  • Leadership experience in managing creative video teams.

  • Deep understanding of digital news consumption patterns and platform algorithms.
  • Ability to spot trending topics and turn them into engaging video content quickly.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with editorial, technical, and creative teams.
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines in a 24x7 news environment.
