Job Title : Software Engineer II - Android
Reports to : Software Engineer Manager
We are seeking an experienced and skilled candidate with passion for architecting, evolving and developing mobile applications.
As a Senior Mobile Application Developer, you will be involved in design, development, customisation, configuration, testing and enhancing mobile apps.
You will also be involved in directly interacting with the Account Managers to understand the customer requirements and issues.
You will be asked to lead our small but candid and collaborative team, where your knowledge and advice about application architecture and the newest mobile technologies will be highly appreciated.
Responsibilities :
- Understand the functional domain of the application and its use
- Design, Develop and Maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code
- Devise and develop an efficient strategy to maintain the code base for multiple customers
- Interact with Account Managers to prioritise work and plan its delivery
- Use structured Agile based development processes that are suited to the nature of work being carried out in the project
- Lead a small team of 3-4 members to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutions
Job Requirements :
- Total experience 8-12 years, with a minimum of 5-8 year in mobile application development
- Extensive knowledge about mobile app development.
This includes the entire process, from the first line of code to publishing in the store(s)
- Development experience in both Android and iOS platforms is preferable
- Experience in cross platform development frameworks/toolkit, like Flutter, will be an added advantage
- Experience with profiling and debugging mobile applications
- Experience with the JSON & SOAP format, material design
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and mobile libraries specifically Retrofit, CFNetwork, CoreGraphics, UIKit, MapKit
- Strong knowledge of architectural patterns - MVP, MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture-and the ability to choose the best solution for the app
- Familiarity with Git
- Understanding of best practices and mobile app design guidelines for Android and iOS
- Proficiency in Java/Swift/Objective-C
- Proven experience in handling several aspects of software including, but not limited to performance, scalability, security and testing.
- Strong problem solving skills with a logical approach and methodology.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
- Strong background in object oriented development techniques.
- Experience within a customer facing role and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A friendly and collaborative attitude, with willingness to train and share knowledge with more junior team members
