Job Responsibilities :

As a Data Science Advisor, you will be a key player in our data science initiatives, leading projects from conception to completion. Your duties will include :

Project Leadership : Lead multiple large-scale data analytics projects, overseeing the entire lifecycle from ideation to deployment.

Data Expertise : Become a subject matter expert on various data sources across the organization. You'll lead and refine processes for data extraction, cleaning, and creating comprehensive data dictionaries.

Model Mastery : Stay ahead of technology trends in data modeling. You'll not only build and deploy models but also provide expert critiques and guidance to the team on model design and performance.

Innovation & Strategy : Identify and experiment with emerging technologies to determine their business value. You'll help shape the group's strategy, define best practices, and recommend participation in key industry events.

Mentorship : Guide and mentor junior data scientists, helping them to develop their skills and grow :

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a passion for data and innovation.

Education : A bachelor's degree in a STEM field is required. A master's degree or Ph.D. in a STEM field is preferred.

Experience : A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading significant projects.

Technical Skills :

Programming Languages : Expertise in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and/or R.

Big Data Technologies : Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and related technologies. Knowledge of Databricks or other cloud-based data platforms is a plus.

Databases : Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

Cloud Platforms : Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) for deploying and managing data science solutions.

Machine Learning : Deep understanding of a wide range of machine learning models, including deep learning, and experience with model deployment and MLOps.

Data Visualization : Proficiency with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn.

Soft Skills :

Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and guide a team.

Business Acumen : Ability to quickly grasp business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.

Communication : Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
