F) Job Overview:

  • As a Senior Testing Engineer / Test Lead, you will take a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. You will lead the testing efforts, manage the QA team, and develop testing strategies that align with the project goals. Your experience and leadership will drive the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies, ensuring that software releases are of the highest quality.

H) Key Responsibilities:

1) Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of test engineers.
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities, ensuring optimal use of team skills and resources.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their professional growth.

2) Test Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans.
  • Define and document testing processes and best practices.
  • Ensure that test plans cover functional, performance, security, and usability testing.

3) Test Execution and Oversight:

  • Oversee the execution of test plans, ensuring thorough coverage and adherence to schedules.
  • Monitor and report on test progress, addressing any issues or roadblocks.
  • Conduct regular test case reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards.

4) Defect Management:

  • Ensure defects are properly identified, documented, and communicated.
  • Prioritize and track defect resolution, verifying fixes through regression testing.
  • Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.

5) Automation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

6) Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of test strategies, plans, cases, and results.
  • Generate and present test reports, quality metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.

7) Collaboration and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing updates on testing progress and quality status.
  • Serve as a point of contact for all QA-related communications.

I) Qualifications:

1) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

2) Experience: 5+ years in software testing or quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.

3) Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).

4) Leadership Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

5) Analytical Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to analyze complex requirements.

6) Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present findings and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

7) Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISTQB certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or JMeter.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with security testing tools and practices.
