About the Role: Customer & Vendor Master Data Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer & Vendor Master Data Lead to join our team. As the Customer & Vendor Master Data Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and governance of customer and vendor master data within ofi. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, IT professionals, and business stakeholders, to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of customer and vendor master data across systems and processes. Your expertise in data governance and will be crucial in driving the overall quality and usability of customer and vendor master data, enabling informed decision-making and enhancing experiences of our customers, farmers and other vendor partners.

Key responsibilities

  1. Define and implement customer and vendor master data standards, policies and procedures. This includes working closely with the business stakeholders to establish data ownership roles and responsibilities as well as data privacy team to ensure compliance with data privacy requirements.
  2. Establish data quality rules and KPI metrics to measure and improve the accuracy and completeness of customer and vendor masters. Provide regular reports on KPIs to data owners.
  3. Conduct regular data quality assessments to identify and address data inconsistencies and anomalies. Drive data quality initiatives, including data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment, to improve the overall quality of customer and vendor masters’ data.
  4. Oversee the creation, maintenance, and retirement of customer and vendor master data records. Provide guidance and support to business users in managing customer and vendor master data and resolving data-related issues.
  5. Cross-functional collaboration with business teams to understand their data requirements, IT to ensure integration across systems, and data analysts to derive meaningful insights.
  6. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the data management processes.


Qualifications & Skills

  1. Bachelors in data management, information technology, or a related field.
  2. 5-8 years’ experience in customer and/or vendor master data management, data governance or related roles. Experience of working with leading Master Data Management (MDM) systems.
  3. Good knowledge of data governance frameworks and processes, best practices, and tools. Proficiency in data analysis, data quality assessment and data cleansing techniques
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and build relationship with stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering solutions to complex business challenges.
  6. Ability to work with global cross-functional teams.
  7. Experience of working in SAP ERP environment will be an added advantage.
