Candidate in this role will be required to be working in 24x7 environment and comfortable working in different shift timings . Manage incidents for numerous critical services supporting Qualcomm's hardware and software engineering environment globally. Expected to support and troubleshoot existing systems, solve technical queries and enhance the reliability and performance for the services. Provide technical support with an emphasis on customer service for Linux, UNIX, networking, enterprise applications. Task may include the following but not restricted to : User maintenance tasks, including resetting passwords, creating users, disabling the automatic creation of users, and cleaning up files left open by former users. Administrative operations, including setting the server security level, obliterating files to reclaim disk space, editing submitted changelists, verifying server integrity Repo sync issues ,Build issues, Slowness in sync ,CSR user account and access requests , Max Scan rows issues, Sync issues/ Environment issues Need to have basic understanding of HPC stack , build stack and verification via Linux terminal Basic knowledge of server, storage path , commands to identify mounts, do network health check Verify user access, very site authentication EDA tool experience will be a plus. Exposure to EDA industry tools such as EOD , LSF -load scheduler, E-commander , Perforce are additional applications on which hands on experience will be a plus The candidate is expected to be working as a Tier2 engineer providing resolution to incidents and tickets elevated by Tier1 Use the existing technical guides and his / her domain expertise to resolve complex issues within the set SLA for the team . "Min. Qualifications"Excellent oral and written communication skills Solid understanding of Linux and Unix OS' 2-4 years of Linux/Unix, Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP and other networking concepts Must be a self-starter, team player Excellent troubleshooting skills and customer support experience Customer Service oriented and thrive in a dynamic environment ."Preferred Qualifications"Experience in any of Linux, Ubuntu, redhat and clustering technologies and systems such as Code scanning would be a definite plus Experience on SAN/NAS would be a plus Experience in Batch queuing technologies/LSF is a plus. Experience in Virtualization technologies (VMWare) would be a plus. Knowledge of and experience in supporting enterprise applications in a Linux/Unix environment."
