The Category Manager will optimize our product category performance.

Will be responsible developing and executing the strategy for assigned product categories to drive sales, profitability, and market share. Will be involved in supplier management, pricing strategy, promotional planning, product selection, and market analysis.

Key Deliverables:

1) Play the role of Product managers and would also support to own the overall category P&L

2) Identify product value proposition for all sub-brands and products

3) Liaise with the R&D and Production team on the design & production of products in line with the market trends. Coordination with other internal stakeholders like Warehouse, factory, Trade Marketing and planning team for product availability and other market feedback on SKU's

4) Defining the pricing of the products for their specific category; analyzing gross margin

Functional/Domain Expertise:

1. Category Strategy & Business Planning - Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies aligned with company objectives to drive sales, profitability, and market share.

2. Product Portfolio Management - Oversee the product lifecycle for the assigned category, including new product development, launches, and phase-outs.

3. Pricing & Profitability Optimization - Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with margin objectives, considering market conditions and cost structures.

4. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis - Continuously monitor market developments, competitor activities, and technological advancements to identify opportunities and threats

Qualification: Full time MBA ; Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics preferred)

Experience - 5 to 10 yrs

Location : KOLKATA

Experience in Home UPS/ INVERTER is MANDATORY.
