Job Summary:

Wonderchef Home Appliances is looking for a dynamic and result-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Modern Trade for the West region . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding our presence in Modern Trade (MT) outlets , ensuring business growth, and driving sales through key accounts. This role requires strong negotiation skills, deep market understanding, and experience in handling large-format retail chains .

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales and achieve revenue targets across Modern Trade chains in the West region .
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand business with key accounts such as Reliance, Croma, Vijay Sales, D-Mart, Big Bazaar, etc.
  • Strengthen relationships with key decision-makers at modern trade partners to enhance business opportunities.

2. Account Management & Growth

  • Manage and expand relationships with existing Modern Trade accounts .
  • Ensure proper execution of trade marketing initiatives, visibility, and in-store branding.
  • Negotiate and finalize annual business agreements, trading terms, and promotional plans.

3. Sales Planning & Execution

  • Plan and execute sell-in and sell-out strategies to maximize sales.
  • Work closely with category managers and buyers to drive promotions and visibility.
  • Ensure effective stock planning, forecasting, and replenishment at Modern Trade outlets.

4. Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to stay ahead in the category.
  • Gather insights from the market and provide feedback to the management for strategic decision-making.

5. Team Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with the trade marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Prepare and share periodic sales reports, performance metrics, and insights with senior management.
  • Lead a team of sales executives/merchandisers to drive execution at the store level.

Key Requirements:

Experience: 4-5 years in Modern Trade Sales within Appliances, Consumer Durables, Electricals, or Electronics industries.

Education: Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred but not mandatory).

Skills: Strong negotiation, account management, and analytical skills.

Must-Have: Prior experience in handling Modern Trade chains and a strong understanding of category management.

Location Preference: Candidates with prior experience managing the West region (Mumbai, Pune, Gujarat, etc.) preferred.
