As a Seed Technology Manager, provide strategic leadership for the seed Tech team,

establishing distinct goals and objectives within the country, Engage in close collaboration

with EWS seed technology teams, supervise the development and implementation of

research studies aimed at optimizing seed Seed Technology/seed enhancement processes.

Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive research excellence guided

by the mission and vision, core values, corporate strategy, and established systems, policies,

and processes of the company.

ST Strategy Development

● Define and execute the strategic vision for Seed Technology within the company,

aligning with overall R&D and business objectives.

● Develop and implement a roadmap for seed technology innovation, identifying key

research areas and investment priorities.

● Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence

within the seed technology team.

Research Facility Management

● Supervises the development and maintenance of seed technology research

infrastructure and facilities

● Drives operational excellence in the facility by ensuring that work processes related to

the day-to-day operations are compliant with the quality standards and protocol set by

the company

● Reviews and approves research or development project proposals

● Communicate/update local stakeholders on the trial results and implementation plans,

including other partners within the East-West Group

● Plans and manages the team's annual budget. Prepares business case for justifying

capital expenditure (capex) requirements for management's approval; Reviews and

signs off department's annual budget planning (OPEX and CAPEX); Ensures proper

monitoring of budget utilization

● Regularly conducts a review of the ongoing research and experiments; Oversees the

collection and analysis of issues encountered by the stakeholders and facilitates a

robust discussion to arrive at best solutions

● Organizes regular best practice sharing and/or workshops/conferences within EWS to

leverage accumulated learnings and find opportunities to harmonize practices

Network Development

● Build extensive network with internal stakeholders to cascade trial results and gain

support for commercial implementation of technologies

● Builds extensive network within the technical, professional, industry, government,

academic, and public community in the country to promote the regular exchange of

information and practices that may contribute to or support EWS operations

People Management

● Reviews and provides inputs/advise to manpower planning and people/organization

decisions for seed technology team

● Oversees the timely recruitment and hiring for approved open positions in

coordination with HR partner/s

● Manages the overall performance of individuals and teams and ensures that KPIs are

measured and monitored regularly; Provides regular performance feedback and

coaching to direct reports to ensure that they successfully meet or exceed

performance expectations

● Builds and develops the team's capability by assessing and identifying competency

gaps and recommending appropriate development interventions

● Uses the available HR programs, processes and tools to continuously engage the ST

team to deliver maximum productivity

Minimum Requirement

● Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Agriculture or related field with 8-10 yr of experience

in Agri industry.

● With at least 10 years of seed technology-related work experience

● With a good grasp of scientific experimentation and good experience in project

management

● Capable of effectively communicating and driving results with internal and external

stakeholders

● Competent in using common computer programs
