Job Description:


As the Legal Associate at Sigmoid, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal guidance and support to the executive team and various departments within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the company operates within the bounds of the law and maintains compliance with relevant regulations while minimizing legal risks. You will be expected to provide strategic legal advice, handle complex legal matters, and oversee all legal affairs of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the company's operations. Develop and implement compliance strategies to ensure adherence to legal requirements.

2. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including client agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements. Ensure that contractual terms are favorable and aligned with the company's interests.

3. Corporate Governance: Provide guidance on corporate governance matters, including board governance, shareholder relations, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

4. Risk Management: Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests. Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.

5. Litigation Management: Manage any legal disputes or litigation involving the company, including coordinating with external legal counsel, conducting investigations, and representing the company's interests in court proceedings or alternative dispute resolution forums.

6. Intellectual Property: Protect the company's intellectual property rights through the registration of trademarks, patents, and copyrights. Provide guidance on intellectual property issues related to product development, marketing, and licensing.

7. Mergers & Acquisitions: Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions, including conducting due diligence, negotiating terms, and drafting transaction documents.

8. Employee Relations: Advise on employment law matters, including employee contracts, terminations, discrimination issues, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with the HR department to ensure fair and lawful employment Degree from an accredited law school

- Minimum 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate law, preferably in the technology or IT services industry

- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, intellectual property law, employment law, and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Proven track record of effectively managing legal risks and providing strategic legal advice.
