Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Sales and Business Development Manager to join our innovative education product startup. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a robust network of clients and partners while efficiently closing the entire sales process. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and converting prospects into satisfied customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets for our education product offerings.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the education sector, including schools, colleges, universities, and educational organizations.
3. Identify and prioritize potential clients and partners through market research, networking, and targeted outreach efforts.
4. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and negotiations to effectively communicate the value proposition of our education solutions.
5. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, campaigns, and promotional materials to support sales efforts.
6. Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for customers.
7. Track sales performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to inform decision-making and optimize sales strategies.
8. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to continually refine our sales approach and stay ahead of the curve.
9. Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market feedback to drive product enhancements and innovations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales and business development roles, preferably within the education or EdTech industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales productivity tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend events.
