As a Senior Manufacturing Consultant, expectations are as follows :
- Cost Reduction & Profitability: Analyze operations to find opportunities for reducing overall manufacturing costs and improving the company's bottom line.
- Process Optimization: Assess existing manufacturing operations to identify inefficiencies and implement strategies like lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to reduce waste & improve workflows.
- Technology Integration: Advise on and help implement new manufacturing technologies and systems to improve efficiency.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Help companies comply with industry best practices and regulations.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and provide strategic advice for optimizing production planning, logistics, and overall manufacturing performance to align with company goals.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines to deliver solutions effectively.
- Advise on New Vendor Development for cost optimization opportunities
- Potential travel to Client Site as per need basis
Qualifications and Requirements:
- MBA in Operations
- 8+ years of consulting experience with exposure to Japanese manufacturing techniques like Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, Just-in-time, Kanban, TQM etc. Exposure to Project management methodologies like PERT, CPM etc. would be an added advantage.
- Strong strategic, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of industrial engineering, manufacturing technologies, and various continuous improvement methodologies.
