Job Purpose

Responsibilities

Creating and implementing the infrastructure strategy for the Organization (comprising of on premise Datacentre Management and Cloud deployments)
Review and analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
Negotiate the purchase of software, hardware and other IT supplies as approved by management.
Inventory management of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
Interacts with senior management/peers within company on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach
Manages Outsourced team for daily operations/activities.
Provide solutions to complex business problems for area(s) of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
Performing Live DR activities and DR drills periodically.
Working knowledge of server, storage, database, Operating Systems (Windows and Linux) and network
Production Incident Management
Regulatory Compliance

Educational Qualification

Experience

Minimum of 15 years of experience with Infrastructure management for both on premise Datacenter and Cloud Infra.

Skills Required

Program and project management expertise.
Planning and executing Infra related projects.
In depth hands on knowledge on Infra such as server, storage, database, Operating Systems (Windows and Linux) and network
Very good knowledge and exposure on cloud computing

Functional Competencies required

Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments, and transformation strategy.
Holistic understanding of all data center functions (production operations, change
control, DR/Business recovery, helpdesk, systems management and facilities)
Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons and migration

consideration.
