Quality Assurance Analyst

Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive regression test plans and test cases.- Perform both manual and automated regression testing to ensure that existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes or enhancements.- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and potential system impacts.- Analyze test results, identify defects, and document issues using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, QC/ALM).- Develop and maintain automation scripts for regression test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar frameworks.- Participate in release readiness and deployment validation activities.- Contribute to continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating regression tests into build and release processes.- Track and report test execution progress, quality metrics, and regression results to stakeholders.- Work with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure high-quality software delivery.- Continuously improve regression test coverage, frameworks, and testing processes.Technical Skills & Requirements :- Experience : 3 to 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on regression testing.- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UAT).- Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.)- Hands-on experience with programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#) for automation.- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Bamboo).- Strong SQL skills for database validation and backend testing.- Experience in testing web, mobile, and API applications (Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI).- Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM).- Strong debugging and analytical skills to identify root causes of defects (ref:hirist.tech)
