POSITION PURPOSE :

SpotOn's System & Network Administrator designs, documents, installs, and configures systems, services, LANs, WLANs, WANs, VPNs, Internet and intranet systems, software, and equipment for use by our staff. The day-to-day involves working on SpotOn's infrastructure to ensure security and stability. Additionally the System & Network Administrator will assist other departments within SpotOn who support Customer Networks for our products and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

- Responsible for configuring, maintaining, and administering our identity management platforms

- Responsible for LAN, WLAN, VPN, WAN, and ISP resources for SpotOn - Review patches and monitor patching, installation

- Firmware upgrades on network devices (review and apply)

- Perform physical server and network installs and maintenance

- Monitor and address security incidents and vulnerabilities

- Evaluate systems which enhance or replace those currently in place

- Create and maintain internal support documentation for Helpdesk and end-users


- Provide training and mentoring to Helpdesk for new features and changes in procedure


- Point-of-escalation for Helpdesk tickets, projects and initiatives

- Create and maintain detailed documentation on audit events, security incidents and system changes

- Provide on-call and after-hours support for high impact incidents

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : (Maximum of 10 KSAs [Knowledge, Skills and Abilities])


- Extensive experience in building, configuring, and maintaining Identity Providers (IdP) such as Okta and Active Directory.

- Extensive knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols


- Software Security Patching Automation and Monitoring

- Intermediate Networking (routing and switching and basic VPN configuration)


- Proficient in VMWare Vsphere installation, configuration, and maintenance


- Ability to problem solve and think critically

- Project management skills

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

- 2 years with Systems Management in an intermediate or lead role

- 2 years with IdP

- 2 years working with ISPs

- 1 year with Meraki

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

- 4-year technical degree (Engineering)

- Professional certifications
