Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and participate in the migration projects involving Java and Oracle applications to Wildfly/Java and PostgreSQL for a leading fintech organization.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and project managers to ensure seamless execution of migration projects.
  3. Analyze existing Oracle database schemas, SQL queries, and stored procedures to design and implement effective migration strategies.
  4. Develop scripts and automation tools to facilitate the migration process and ensure data integrity and consistency.
  5. Perform thorough testing and validation of migrated data and applications to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  6. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team members throughout the migration lifecycle.
  7. Document the migration process, including technical specifications, configurations, and procedures for future reference.
  8. Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of PostgreSQL databases to meet the organization's performance and scalability requirements.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. (BE, B-Tech, MCA, or Equivalent Degree)
  2. Proven experience in database migration projects with a focus on PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
  3. Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database management with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and Oracle.
  4. Experience working with Java applications and application servers like Wildfly/JBoss.
  5. Familiarity with database migration tools and techniques, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
  7. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  8. Prior experience in the fintech industry or related domains is a plus.
