Job Title: Senior Database Developer

Location: Chennai -Hybrid

Note: Notice period - Immediate to 15 days (Serving Notice only).


Job Description:


  • 8 years of relevant experience working with databases like Oracle, SQL and Postgres with specialized experience on Data migration for highly complex applications
  • Experience in strategizing & implementing, large data migration using scripts & data migration /transformation tools.
  • Design solutions to migrate data across different databases.
  • Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills, attention to details, proactive self-starter.
  • Implement and maintain PostgreSQL database code in the form of stored procedures, scripts, queries, views, triggers, etc.
  • Implement effective and maintainable database coding practices that form an architectural foundation.
  • Participate as a member in Agile teams, and work with other team members to review user stories, estimate effort to build functionality supporting user stories, and participate in sprint reviews.
  • Analyze existing SQL query and PLPG/SQL code for performance improvements.
  • Develop functions, PL/SQL statements and stored procedures PostgreSQL to maintain business logic.
  • Design relational logical data models and their physical schema design.
  • Investigates, troubleshoots, and corrects data and user related system errors and ensures data integrity.
  • Broad and deep knowledge on PostgreSQL and other database development.
  • Strong understanding of performance analysis, QUERY tuning and optimization
  • Understating of users, privileges, securities, backup and restore.
