Akshayakalpa is India's first and most significant, Organic Milk producer every day reaching about 150,000 households in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad. About Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the market presence in Chennai by identifying potential growth areas and onboarding new milk agents into the system. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the milk business through the agent channel, ensuring smooth delivery schedules and efficient supply chain management. Leading and motivating a team of business development professionals and milk agents, you will conduct regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge, customer service, and delivery best practices. Additionally, you will focus on building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including milk agents, retailers, distributors, and customers, while addressing and resolving service-related concerns to drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential market areas in Chennai and expand the customer base by onboarding new agents into the system.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the milk business through Agent Channel.
- Coordinate with milk agents to ensure efficient delivery schedules and supply chain management.
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of business development and Milk Agents.
- Conduct regular training sessions for agents on product knowledge, customer service, and best practices for delivery and supply chain management.
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders such as milk agents, retailers, Distributors and customers.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns regarding service.
- Monitor sales targets and ensure the business meets its revenue goals in the region.
- Optimize delivery routes, reduce delays, and improve the efficiency of the milk distribution network.
- Work closely with the logistics team to ensure the safe handling, storage, and transportation of milk products.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities in the Chennai area.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain product freshness and adhere to hygiene standards.
- Prepare regular reports on business performance, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- 4 to 8 years of Experience in the same field
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in business development, and sales (preferably in dairy or FMCG).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to analyze market trends and optimize business strategies.
