Position Overview:
- The Head of Technical Operations will lead all engineering and technical services across diverse facility management projects, including critical infrastructure like airports, industrial plants, and high-dependency facilities.
- The role requires strategic leadership in reducing equipment downtime, ensuring regulatory and safety compliance, driving CMMS implementation, and building technical services into a profitable vertical. This is a hands-on, result-oriented role focused on operational reliability, team leadership, innovation, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Operations & Engineering Services
- Lead and manage end-to-end technical services including, HVAC, fire systems, BMS, STP/ETP, elevators, and energy systems.
- Oversee engineering operations at mission-critical facilities including airports, manufacturing plants, and 24/7 environments.
- Ensure adherence to operational KPIs like uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and SLA compliance.
- Drive preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
2. CMMS Implementation & Digital Transformation
- Lead the planning, deployment, and optimization of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) across customer sites.
- Integrate IoT, remote monitoring, and analytics into maintenance and energy management practices.
- Standardize technical reporting and asset tracking through digital tools.
3. Downtime Reduction & Reliability Engineering
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize equipment failure and reduce operational downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring failures and initiate continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement best practices in asset lifecycle management and reliability-centered maintenance.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure 100% compliance with local statutory regulations, fire safety norms, and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and engineering compliance reviews.
- Train and certify site engineering teams on electrical, mechanical, and safety protocols.
5. Commercial Ownership & Profitability
- Transform technical operations into a high-performing, self-sustaining business unit.
- Manage budgets, drive cost efficiencies, and contribute to revenue growth through value-added services and energy optimization projects.
- Lead technical proposals for new business opportunities and support solution design during bidding.
- Meet specific targets assigned for the vertical of Technical Operations.
6. Team Leadership & Development
- Build and lead the technical team/engineering services vertical.
- Drive technical training, succession planning, and capability development.
- Create a culture of performance, innovation, and engineering Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master's degree).
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in facility management, with proven leadership in technical operations.
- Experience managing engineering services in critical infrastructure (e.g., airports, data centers, manufacturing).
- Expertise in CMMS platforms (e.g., IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, SAP PM) and digital maintenance tools.
