We are looking for a motivated IT L1 Application Support Engineer to provide top-notch technical support to end-users and ensure the smooth functionality of IT systems and services.

As an IT L1 Application Support Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • End-user Support:
    • Offering initial technical assistance to end-users for software and network issues.
    • Helping users resolve IT problems through phone, chat, and email.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Identifying and fixing software issues such as access problems, account lockouts, and ad-hoc reports.
    • Addressing simple technical problems using established protocols and escalating complex issues to the appropriate IT teams.
  • Ticket Management:
    • Logging and monitoring incidents using the ticketing system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely customer updates.
    • Supervising the resolution of incidents and requests within agreed service levels.
  • User Training:
    • Conducting training sessions for end-users on IT tools and applications to enhance their knowledge and productivity.
  • Documentation:
    • Creating and maintaining documentation for IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Developing solutions and processes within your technical specialty.
  • Collaboration:
    • Working with other IT teams to address complex technical issues.
    • Providing feedback on recurring issues and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
    • Undertaking less complex projects under supervision.

Requirements:

  • BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support and troubleshooting in a professional setting.
  • Thorough understanding of Web applications, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, SQL queries, and common desktop applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts effectively.
  • Strong active listening skills and the capacity to learn and convey software-related ideas.
