About the role

Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Senior Director to lead our SAP practice to lay the foundation for an end-to-end connected value chain. Reporting directly to the VP Application Management, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our digital future based on a best-in-class SAP architecture. You will lead multiple teams consisting of functional streams, developers, and architects, providing long-term governance of the SAP environment and ensuring operational incidents and ongoing business change management are handled effectively and efficiently. This position is not just about leading; it's about inspiring a digital, customer-focused culture and setting new industry standards. Key responsibilities include

Oversee the technology architecture and development of SAP product features for deployment on the SAP platform Ensure that appropriate technologies are introduced into the SAP environment including future-proofing of technical solutions Manage the SAP product portfolio to ensure high returns on investment Leverage the SAP platform to design global solutions through new or unused functionalities in SAP, third-party SAP tools or new SAP modules Ensure that SAP capabilities and functionalities are understood by other Digital/IT stakeholders in the evaluation of digital solutions to business needs Develop and implement the long-term strategy for the utilization of SAP, including the roadmap for S/4HANA Develop KPIs and best practices that drive efficiency and effectiveness in TCO, business objectives and user experience Ensure that SAP projects are implemented following established project methodologies, in particular ensuring that communications and appropriate tollgate reviews are in place Oversee resource planning for SAP implementations in line with the complexity of implementations, incl. managing consulting costs for implementations Oversee the global SAP application support function for incident mgmt and change mgmt (incl. cultural change) Ensure adequate SAP competencies in the user community through effective and efficient training This is a global leadership role with key stakeholders located in Brussels, Zurich, and other locations of our global footprint, and thus requires up to 25% travel.

About you

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IS Management, Engineering, Business, or a comparable field Relevant professional qualifications such as PMI certification preferred Proficiency in English Minimum of 15 years in the IT industry with in-depth experience in managing SAP architecture and technology Ability to manage large-scale SAP enhancements and change management projects Experience in managing global and regional IT implementation programs and projects Skills to create internal and external partnerships/networks across the organization Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with senior management and describe complex technical solutions in business language Extensive experience in managing outsourced vendors as well as offshore resource management Demonstrated success in leading and managing multi-cultural, dispersed teams to drive change collaboratively on a global scale Exhibits a passion for technology and innovation, constantly seeking new and creative solutions to enhance processes, decision-making and user experiences Puts a strong emphasis on teamwork and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across different levels of the organization and with external partners Possesses good communication skills, capable of complex strategies clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels, including non-technical audiences Demonstrates ability to analyze complex situations, identify critical issues, and make bold, strategic decisions to drive progress Inspires and motivates teams, encouraging innovation and ownership, while providing guidance and support to achieve high performance Maintains focus and composure in the face of setbacks, showing resilience and the ability to pivot strategies as necessary in response to new challenges and opportunities Champions diversity and inclusion, creating an environment where all team members feel valued and can contribute to their full potential while adhering to high ethical standards in all decisions and actions
