Head - Operations

Overview:
The Operational Head is a key leadership role responsible for driving the success of the company. This position involves developing and implementing strategic initiatives to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share.

Strategic Planning :

  • Develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) in alignment with the overall business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO to support decision making.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms.
Financial and Risk Management

  • Manage budgeting and forecasting for the company.
  • Monitor financial performance against targets and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Optimize pricing strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Identify potential risks to the commercial operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Efficient us of all resources to maximize ROCE.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Oversee procurement activities to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services at the best possible prices.
  • Manage logistics operations to optimize inventory levels and minimize transportation costs.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a highperforming team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.

Contract Negotiation:

  • Lead contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Ensure that contractual agreements are favorable and align with the company's objectives.
Years' experience as Business Head or similar role preferably from the Agri/Food Processing background; candidates from FMCG background with some experience in Agri/Food processing will also be considered
