You will be working as Senior Finance Specialist-Customer Master Data at global grade 15 and will be part of Finance Services business for Finance and Accounting Operations division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Accounting and Reporting Manager Accounts Receivable and will be responsible to lead a functional work team within Accounts Receivable and/or Credit Management and drives complete, accurate and timely execution and optimization of relevant transactions and initiatives. Holds the ultimate accountability to ensure compliance with internal guidelines, procedures and external regulatory requirements for the relevant organization.

Your responsibilities
  • Updating and maintaining customer data records in the database, including customer contact details, addresses, billing information, credit limit etc. and other relevant data as per ABB policy
  • Perform regular data audits and validations to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of customer data. Identify and rectify any data discrepancies or errors
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures related to customer data laid down by ABB
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate customer data across various systems and platforms, ensuring data consistency and synchronization
  • Generating reports and provide insights on customer data metrics, trends, and patterns to support decision-making processes
  • Identifying areas for process improvement related to customer data management. Propose and implement solutions to enhance data quality, efficiency and accuracy
  • Develop and deliver training materials and documentation related to customer data management processes and best practices
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and customer service, to ensure accurate and timely customer data updates and resolve any data-related issues
Your background
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
  • 4 to 7 years of experience Customer Master Data, reporting and accounting.
  • Must be flexible in working for any shift timings.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Proficiency in using database management tools and systems.
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to derive insights from data.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
