Sales Head (Pan India Retail Sales) from Ecommerce/B2C Sales background (From Tier 1/Tier2 institute)


National Experience of handling entire Indian sales and being part of the leadership team in the current company, is an absolute must.


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for the Retail segment: Collaborate with cross functional teams to define the growth objectives and develop a clear strategy to achieve them. This includes identifying target markets, understanding customer needs, and evaluating competitive landscapes.
  • Strong selling experience. Preferred industries where 'hardsell' or 'push sales' is the norm. Strong preference for candidates who have had experience in a tough market condition. The right balance of a person with a strong people/customer orientation with a strong sales strategy/business outlook. Must be able to motivate the troops and create a charged sales environment while also having a strong head on his shoulders that allows him to strategize & execute growth drivers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Continuously assess market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to identify new avenues for growth. Develop and nurture relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to generate new leads and business opportunities.
  • Successful experience in program management, strategic thinking and problemsolving roles, with a demonstrated focus on driving results and achieving targets.
  • Optimize sales processes and performance: Evaluate and refine the sales process to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Implement sales tools, methodologies, and metrics to monitor and improve sales performance, including pipeline management, forecasting, and conversion rates.
  • Work closely with the product team to align sales and product development strategies, ensuring consistent messaging, lead generation efforts, and effective campaigns. Provide inputs on target audience segmentation & messaging to drive adoption and product consumption.
  • Lead and manage the Retail sales team performance: Currently a team of 250+. Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to the sales team to drive performance and achieve sales targets. Set clear goals, monitor progress, and implement strategies to improve sales effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyse sales data and metrics: Regularly analyse sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to derive insights and make datadriven decisions. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize sales performance and revenue growth.
