We are hiring Head of Analytics for the Top B2C Ecommerce Company based out in Bangalore.
The Role - Head Analytics in the current business environment is the key for business success. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for building a culture of data-based decision making. There are two tenets on which the analytics team operates.
1. Explain the Past: To convert the immense data that we generate into actionable insights for business and product teams. This includes helping provide visibility to key metrics and insights along with understanding the key drivers of business growth and sustainability, along with customer experience and engagement.
2. Imagine the Future : Work with the Business and Product teams to identify business opportunities and customer needs. Imagine the possibilities for improving the shopping experience for customers, identifying what longer engagement means for customers and then solve for that path. Build a data-based view of what the future.
Key Responsibilities
● Partner closely with product teams to instrument and analyze product adoption and impact, influence the way product capabilities get built, and enhance product led growth. Influence product roadmap by providing answers to key business questions and enabling product teams to take objective decisions.
● Partner with the Business teams and enable visibility into input and output metrics, insights into drivers of customers and category growth. Influence category buying, expansion, assortment, and pricing strategies.
● Provide insights to GTM, marketing and other customer teams to influence engagement with customers to reduce churn, and increase upsell and cross sell opportunities.
● Provide quick and scalable data products to customer service teams to drive customer QBRs effectively.
● Drive strong partnership with BI and Data science teams to build, measure and visualize data based solutions.
● Provide thought leadership to analytics managers, analysts and stakeholders using data based insights and analysis
● Build best-in-class analytics solutions to democratize deep product metrics across the organization
● Utilize strong database skills to work with large, complex data sets
● Communicating findings to stakeholders and taking initiatives for improving business performance
Desired Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Qualifications:
● Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, computer science or related fields Experience:
● 12+ years of work experience in Business/Product Analytics in a reputable tech platform company or top tier Multinational Companies/Management Consulting
● Experience of working with ecommerce/consumer tech is a plus
● 5+ years of People Management experience, leading a team of 25+ members Key Competencies
● Excellent problem solving and comprehensive analytical skills - ability to structure ambiguous problem statements, perform detailed analysis and derive crisp insights.
● Think strategically, exponentially and understand the ‘big picture’
● Strong communication and presentation skills - ability to connect the dots through data, communicate and present with impact to all levels of the organization
● Intellectual Curiosity - Initiative to dig into the who, why, where, what & how. Curiosity about business and customer behavior
● Ability to inspire and motivate teams, understand and apply situational leadership as needed.
● Strong experience in various tools and technologies - SQL, Excel, Python/R, Clickstream analytics, Tableau (is a plus)
● Experience of developing basic ML models (RF, Boosting, Chaid, Market Mix Modeling, Clustering, Forecasting etc.) is preferred
● Extremely positive ‘Can do’ attitude which continuously drives you to take initiatives
