You will be working as R&D Technical Specialist at global grade 12 and will be part of Electrification business Area for Distribution Solutions division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for developing or creating products, systems, services or technologies for ABB ́s business units by leading/facilitating the execution of one or more Research and Development (R&D) sub-projects of limited complexity to achieve associated milestones, targets and desired outcomes

Your responsibilities
  • Designing, developing and Analyzing product features for connectivity packages associated with PCM600
  • Implementing and proposing innovative solutions for customer requirements
  • Monitoring and controlling progress on the plan to ensure achievement of commitments and targeted milestones or stage-gates
  • Providing regular and open communication to R&D team lead and other key stakeholders to ensure transparency and awareness of progress and issues
  • Utilizing the appropriate metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide early detection of sub project deviations and facilitates data-driven decision-making and transparency
  • Serving as advocate and change agent for driving desired ways of working (e.g., lean, agile, Scrum, SAFe) and relentless improvement
Your background
  • Bachelors degree in B. Tech or M. Tech, Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics and communication or Instrumentation
  • Minimum 8 to 12 years' experience in software development using .NET technologies, preferably using C# .NET Core
  • Strong object-oriented programming and design skills in C# or ReactJS , Knowledge in SCADA system (communication with IEC61850 or Modbus)
  • Should be familiarity with continuous integration using TFS or GIT
  • Should analyse and provide estimation based on complexity of the tasks
