You will be working as R&D Senior Engineer at global grade 13 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Industries Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D/Technology Manager and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP) by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions. Acting as the first point of contact in Research and Development (R&D) or software development or product engineering for specific product-related issues and maintenance.

Your responsibilities
  • Providing broad technical software support, training, pilots and consulting services for clients and to carry out the implementation of company software product in process industries. Digital project implementation in process industries
  • Analyzing and gathering customer requirements and proposing appropriate solutions for Pulp and Paper R&D projects
  • Working with project managers to define scope, features and estimates for new projects
  • Planning project activities with local and remote teams. Working directly on development tasks, providing technical leadership, coordinating with other resources and creating high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets
  • Working with customers to define new opportunities for plant level applications
  • Being proficient or having the capability of becoming proficient at installing, configuring, developing a workflow process, troubleshooting the software and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches
  • Planning and making technological training for customer key users or internal team with clear and concise documentation
Your background
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering with minimum 7 to 10 years of experience on C#, .Net, ASP.NET MVC, .Net Core, Angular JS
  • Working with Pulp & paper industry applications and knowledge of any DCS or PLC or SCADA applications along with OPC DA or HAD or UA specifications and implementing the client using C# is a plus
  • Experience in developing REST APIs and micro service applications, docker applications (Kubernetes, OpenShift knowledge) is required and should have experience in developing at least one application as a full stack developer
  • Having proficiency in fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, javascript with strong working knowledge in typescript, angular and react. Hands-on experience in cloud technologies (Azure)
  • Experience with devops pipeline, microsoft azure, azure event hub and message queue system like rabbitMQ
  • Experience in writing unit and API automation test cases is required along with working experience of relational database oracle or SQL server, time series database
  • Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns along with excellent troubleshooting skills at module, product and system levels using any of the tools
