About the Role:


We are seeking a Director of Engineering who is responsible for defining and delivering the technical requirements to ensure the success of multiple products across all development phases for a studio.

Reporting to the General Manager, EA Mobile India, this role will be the technical advocate and representative for the studio across all of its projects and initiatives.

The primary goal is to build and support the studio's business across its portfolio of games. It will oversee projects simultaneously across multiple phases of development.

This role requires someone to find opportunities and shared solutions to increase the throughput and output of the studio and label.

It will champion the studio's technical initiatives and share the accomplishments and learnings with the broader organization.

Responsibilities:


Develop and oversee multi-year technical roadmaps and plans across multiple titles and initiatives within the studio, while incorporating growth-driven LiveOps and data-informed processes.

Collaborate with Studio Leadership, Technical Leads, and Managers of other disciplines to drive technical initiatives for sustainable games and services, focusing on goal-driven co-development and project ownership.

Use metrics, analytics, and research to anticipate future technology risks, issues, and opportunities, including the creation of an AI/ML-empowered suite of tools and platforms to support LCM and the mobile gaming ecosystem.

Lead studio teams through technical leadership to achieve and deliver on product roadmaps, ensuring localized content-driven LiveOps of multiple titles for different countries and markets.

Work with technical leaders to establish operational processes, aligning game teams with product and label visions, while incorporating new initiatives such as implementing ad monetization strategies and driving re-engagement features.

Collaborate with internal studios and external partners to identify and deliver cross-project efforts to benefit studio and label initiatives.
Define, document, and communicate best practices for development within the studio, ensuring all products and services meet required standards.
Promote and share key studio learnings; be a major contributor to the engineering community within EA Mobile.

Lead functional, driven, and efficient engineering teams with a capacity for creating and delivering products and features for our players and end-users.


Qualifications:


Must have 3 years (5 years preferred) of experience leading teams of engineers in all phases of product development, from pre-production to live service to sunset.

Must have a good understanding of business operations, data pipelines. Knowledge or experience in marketing functions is preferred.
Must have strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines.
Must have experience with game application technologies in at least 3 areas: client, server, live operations, and infrastructure systems.

Must be an effective and efficient communicator and collaborator, capable of speaking to the team's highly technical and business sides.

Must know engineering design patterns and best practices and have experience in architecting, directing, and evaluating large systems.
