Summary / Purpose of the Role

The Senior Product Sales Manager for Connect Solutions plays a key role in directing and supporting collaborative sales endeavors to enhance the Minerva (Simulation Process and Data Management) and Granta (Materials Intelligence) product lines. This successful individual ensures the profitability and sustained growth of specific products within the organization. Serving as an expert in the Connect Solutions product line, the Senior Product Sales Manager is tasked with meeting sales targets within the product line and contributing to its overall success within an overlay framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct product sales operations for new/renewal business related to one or more assigned product lines to meet or surpass revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with field and enterprise sales teams within Ansys and Channel partners to develop and execute strategies that drive product and service revenues as part of an account strategy.
  • Contribute effectively to all stages of the sales process.
  • Facilitate communication with sales and technical teams regarding product updates, success stories, and effective strategies.
  • Establish and nurture business relationships with current and potential customers to generate new business for the organization's offerings.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions and events.
  • Deliver and lead advanced solution presentations tailored to address specific customer needs using the company's products and services. Identify Ansys advantages and position its offerings as superior to competitors.
  • Coordinate technical support for demos, Proof of Concepts (PoC's), evaluation support, and training.
  • Collaborate with team members to craft clear and compelling written proposals, quotations, and value propositions for existing and potential customers.
  • Provide customer feedback to product development and marketing teams.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree in technical, engineering, business, or related field.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 8 years in sales or consulting with a strong track record in selling engineering/technology applications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in engineering analysis and technology.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities to work independently and collaboratively with various teams and hierarchies within the organization.
  • Capacity to promote collaboration across personnel spread across multiple global sites.
  • Thorough understanding of the company's products/services and pricing strategies.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving with an aptitude for identifying suitable solutions for customers.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English.
  • Travel: Up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in networking through face-to-face or digital means.
  • Detailed understanding of Product Development Processes.
  • Knowledge of PLM/Data Management/PIDO strategies, engineering simulation, and/or Enterprise-wide Material Information Management.
  • Experience in selling engineering software products like CAD/CAM/CAE and/or PLM.
  • Proven ability to establish strategic relationships at the CXO/VP/Director level.
