Oracle Managed Cloud Services is seeking a Technical Engineer who will complement highly motivated, highly skilled individuals supporting Engineered Systems. The unifying characteristics of the position are a well-grounded, hands-on understanding of Engineered systems, an eagerness to learn quickly, and apply new technologies and services. Ideal candidates thrive on variety and innovation in their daily work, on interaction with customers who are world-renowned leaders in their fields, and working with a wide range of technologies (open-source and vendor-supported) in a decentralized non-standard environment. Responsibilities include:
• Implementation and Run-n-Maintain services including :o Periodic patching of supported infrastructure (Exadata/Exalogic/PCA/ZFS/ZDLRA etc)o Security Vulnerability fixeso VM builds / decommissionso Filesystem / Backup / Printer managemento SOX Auditso Others
• Work on high volume mission critical systems
• Day to day Incident / Problem / Release / Escalations Management Qualifications:Minimum Bachelor's degree in a technology field, Masters preferred, or equivalent experience required. Must have at least 5 years professional experience as System Administrator (Linux)In addition:OCI certification is an advantageProven experience in managing enterprise systemsSolaris and Windows management skills are advantagesExperience with virtualization technology and cloud computing is advantageExcellent reasoning and analytic skills in a time critical/business critical problem solving operationsComfortable working in a dynamic environment and meeting evolving requirementsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to learn new technologies quicklySkills in Automation and experience in SRE role is an advantage
