The Head of Product Development and Systems is a crucial role within a company, responsible for developing and managing the product strategy and vision, guided by a system application understanding.

To help us continue expanding our products, we are in search of an experienced Product

Development and System Manager to lead multidisciplinary and cross continental team.


Total experience appx. 15 or more years, in which leading role at least more than 5

years is mandatory


Here are the key responsibilities and requirements for this role:


Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy and Vision:

o Devise a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the companys goals and long-

term objectives.

o Drive the execution of all processes in the product development cycle (NPD), planning,

positioning, requirements, and road map development.

o Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final

development by engineering teams.

o Create product strategy documents that describe technical requirements.

o Identify unique selling points (USPs) for the product to differentiate it from competitors.

o Develop and maintain a strategic road map for products, including feature enhancement,

new releases, and innovation.

2. Leadership:

o Manage, mentor, and lead various teams to realize new product developments in Time,

Cost and Quality.

o Translating the company's vision and customers market requirements to actionable

product strategies, ensuring that the product team is working towards common

objectives.

o Managing resources effectively to support product development initiatives, including

budgeting and allocation of personnel and tools.

o Setting clear performance metrics for the product management team and ensuring that

these align with the overall product strategy and company goals.

3. Communication and Collaboration:

o Communicate the products vision to stakeholders through vision statements, product

roadmaps, user research, and insights.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams (project management, sales, marketing,

Production) to oversee the product development process from requirements to delivery.

o Coordinate with product owners to stay updated on project progress, risks, resource

allocation, budgets, and timelines.


4. System Integration and Optimization:

o Collaborate with engineering teams to design robust and efficient systems that integrate

seamlessly with other components.

o Continuously improve system performance, efficiency, and reliability through design

enhancements and firmware updates.

o Ensure rigorous testing and validation of systems to meet safety, reliability, and

performance standards.

5. Technical Expertise:

o Deep understanding of VFD principles, including control algorithms, modulation

techniques (e.g., PWM), and motor control theory.

o Proficiency in power electronics application areas.

o Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages


Requirements:

1. Qualification:

o Bachelors/masters degree in engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a

related field.

o Strong understanding of VFD for various applications e.g. Industrial, Electric Vehicle and power electronics.


2. Skills and Experience:

o Strong experience in a dynamic product development role for power electronics products

o High effectiveness in managing cross-functional, cross continental teams.

o Lean/Agile development cycle.

o Experience in Variable Frequency Drive is a plus for Electric Vehicle /Automotive

application.

o Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public

speaking skills.

o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
