Having built a growing business in the UK, we see a huge opportunity in the US to both; serve UK based clients who are looking to Incorporate in the US, as well as attract US companies who need an improved, personalised and cloud-based model to streamline their Accounting needs.

We’re now looking to hire our first US Senior Accountant/CPA, who will work with our Founding team to set up our US offering. This is a rare opportunity to not only manage compliance and client relationships but also help us build a team and establish our US presence from the ground up. The Role

We’re looking for a US Senior Accountant/CPA with strong experience in US compliance filings (Federal & State), accounting and regulatory requirements. You’ll be responsible for handling key filings, governance matters, and working closely with clients to ensure they’re financially set up for success.

Beyond the technical side, this role is about building relationships—both with clients and within our growing team. You’ll manage junior bookkeepers, provide strategic financial insights, and help shape how we operate in the US market alongside our Founders.

Key Responsibilities:

US Compliance & Regulatory Filings

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns, financial statements, and regulatory reports.
• Manage compliance for Small to Medium businesses, including investor filings, cap table changes, and shareholding updates.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Client Management & Advisory

• Build strong, long-term relationships with business owners and their respective finance teams.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth.
• Act as a trusted advisor for financial planning and compliance strategies.

Team Leadership & Growth

• Have the ability and drive to manage and mentor a team of junior bookkeepers and accountants.
• Establish best practices and processes for our US accounting operations.
• Support the strategic growth of our US offering.

Experience & Qualifications

• CPA qualification is required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or startup environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax compliance, and regulatory filings.
• Experience working with Small & Medium sized enterprises is beneficial but not a must.
• Strong working knowledge of Xero or QuickBooks; certification in either is preferred but not a must.

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the US accounting function.
• Experience managing a team is a plus.
