What will you do?

As the Product Lead for boAt’s Mobile Accessories division, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the strategic roadmap across categories such as chargers, power banks, cables, adapters, cases, and emerging accessory technologies. This role demands strong ownership, cross-functional leadership, and an ability to take products from concept to scale in a highly competitive and fast-evolving ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

• Define the multi-year product strategy for boAt’s mobile accessories portfolio aligned with consumer needs, competitive landscape, and business objectives.
• Identify whitespace opportunities, new technologies, and category expansion possibilities.
• Build and manage end-to-end product roadmaps including upgrades, cost optimization projects, and design evolutions.

New Product Introduction (NPI) Leadership

• Lead full-cycle NPI programs — concepting, requirements, PRD creation, design evaluation, feasibility, validation, and launch readiness.
• Drive structured product reviews, quality gates, and ensure cross-functional alignment with key stakeholders.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Execution

• Work closely with R&D, Design, Quality, Supply Chain, Project Management, Category, Sales, and Marketing to deliver high-quality products on time.
• Partner with ODM, component suppliers, semiconductor vendors, and manufacturing partners to ensure engineering compliance, quality adherence, and timely delivery.

P&L, Pricing, and Cost Management

• Own category-level profitability — from costing to margin analysis, pricing decisions, and value engineering initiatives.
• Conduct negotiations with ODMs, suppliers, and technology partners to achieve optimal cost targets.
• Drive continuous cost improvements through redesign, component optimization, and vendor strategy.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking

• Conduct detailed market research, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking across mobile accessories, charging technologies, and related consumer trends.
• Track evolving standards (PD, QC), materials innovation, durability standards, and user pain points to build differentiated products.

Innovation & Product Excellence

• Drive product differentiation through materials, charging protocols, industrial design, safety certifications, durability features, and customer-led improvements.
• Ensure products meet internal performance benchmarks, certification standards, and long-term reliability metrics.

Leadership & Team Influence

• Provide product direction to junior PMs / cross-functional members working on accessories projects.
• Establish best practices, documentation standards, and NPI discipline across all stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

• 6–10 years of experience in product management, product strategy, NPI, or product operations within consumer electronics, mobile accessories, smart devices, or related categories.
• Strong understanding of electronics hardware, charging technologies, mechanical design, materials, firmware (where relevant), packaging, and quality processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple programs simultaneously, and drive accountability across partners.
• Solid experience in interacting with ODMs, suppliers, and manufacturing ecosystems (India + China preferred).
• Strong commercial mindset — ability to think P&L, understand pricing elasticity, and drive value engineering.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills at leadership levels.
• Experience in high-growth, agile, startup-style environments is highly preferred.
