About the Role:
We’re looking for a Head of Sales Development who can build and lead our pipeline and demand generation engine from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to join an early-stage, high-impact team where you’ll own strategy, execution, and team-building for one of the most critical growth functions.
What You’ll Do
- Build the Demand Gen Function: Establish Securin’s demand generation and pipeline engine from scratch, working across Marketing, Product, Sales, and RevOps.
- Player-Coach Leadership: Roll up your sleeves to make outbound calls, nurture inbound, and build early traction while setting up processes and playbooks.
- Messaging & GTM Alignment: Partner with Marketing and Product to test messaging, identify traction channels (inbound, outbound, referrals, events, content, ads), and double down where results are strongest.
- Integrated Campaigns: Work with Marketing on event strategy, content campaigns, and paid programs to ensure alignment with sales pipeline goals.
- Tools & Processes: Collaborate with RevOps to define SDR/BDR processes, reporting cadences, tech stack, and KPIs.
- Team-Building: Start by hiring the first BDR, and as playbooks solidify, make the case for further headcount and scaling.
- Pipeline Accountability: Own pipeline generation targets and deliver measurable, predictable results that feed the sales funnel.
- Lead with AI first: Effective use of AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and output.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 7–15+ years in demand generation, SDR/BDR leadership, or pipeline generation roles, ideally in cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise tech. Experience with working with prospects in the US primarily with some focus on ANZ and other APJC markets.
- Builder’s Mindset: Demonstrated ability to build a function from zero to scale. Thrives in startup/fast-moving environments.
- Hands-On Leader: Willing to be both strategic and tactical — from making outbound calls to presenting growth plans to leadership.
- Collaborative Operator: Works seamlessly across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Operations to create alignment.
- Critical Thinker: Analytical, data-driven, and proactive in identifying what’s working and what’s not.
- Metrics-Driven: Strong grasp of pipeline metrics, conversion funnels, and demand generation ROI.
- Tools and AI: Strong working knowledge of leveraging AI to drive efficiency and effectiveness including tools like ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini; other tools like Clay, Apollo, Factors, Outreach, Gong, Bombora, Hubspot, etc.

- Pipeline generated (volume, quality, conversion)
- Performance of inbound/outbound/referral mix
- Effectiveness of integrated campaigns with Marketing
- Early traction from first BDR hire and justification for team scale-up
