As we step into our next chapter of growth, we’re looking for a visionary Vice President – Marketing to lead this journey forward — uniting brand, performance, and customer intelligence under one powerful strategy that drives brand love, builds lasting relationships, and delivers measurable business impact.

The Role

The VP – Marketing will own the full marketing charter — from brand storytelling and campaign creation to performance, CRM, insights, and retail marketing.

This is a cross-functional leadership role that balances data with creativity, strategy with execution, and heart with performance.

This role is based out of our Head office in Gurugram.


Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy & Creative Leadership

  • Lead HUFT’s brand strategy, voice, and creative expression across all touchpoints — digital, retail, packaging, campaigns, and content.
  • Strengthen sub-brands (Hearty, Sara’s Wholesome Food, Meowsi) with distinct yet connected narratives.
  • Build storytelling frameworks that deepen emotional connection and brand love.
  • Ensure every campaign and asset reflects HUFT’s core philosophy: pets are family.

2. Growth, Performance & CRM

  • Own full-funnel marketing — awareness, acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
  • Drive growth across e-commerce, app, and retail using data, insights, and automation.
  • Oversee performance media, SEO, and CRM with clear KPIs on CAC, LTV, ROAS, and retention.
  • Build precision customer segmentation and personalized journeys that enhance lifetime value.

3. Retail & Omnichannel Marketing

  • Partner with retail operations to develop footfall, events, and hyperlocal marketing playbooks.
  • Oversee visual merchandising and in-store storytelling to create seamless brand experiences across 100+ stores.
  • Align marketing, supply chain, and product launches for strong Go-To-Market impact.

4. Consumer & Market Intelligence

  • Build a central intelligence function to mine insights from customer data, feedback, and market trends.
  • Lead NPS tracking, brand health studies, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Translate insights into action — influencing product, category, and creative strategies.

5. Strategy, Planning & Media

  • Lead annual marketing and media planning aligned with business goals and budgets.
  • Optimize spends across channels for ROI and long-term brand equity.
  • Drive consistency in storytelling while tailoring regional and global strategies for new markets.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, Tech, Retail, and Supply Chain to align marketing with business and customer experience goals.
  • Collaborate with HR and Culture teams to embed the HUFT purpose internally — ensuring every HUFTian becomes a brand ambassador.
  • Work closely with the Foundation team to integrate purpose and community impact into brand storytelling.

7. Culture & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team across brand, creative, digital, CRM, and retail marketing.
  • Build systems that balance agility with discipline — calendars, processes, learning loops.
  • Foster a culture of kindness, accountability, creativity, and curiosity.
  • Encourage experimentation and celebrate both success and learning.
  • Be a role model for HUFT’s core values: empathy, excellence, and heart-led leadership.

Who You Are

  • 8-12 years of experience in brand, digital, or integrated marketing — ideally in D2C, lifestyle, consumer, or retail brands.
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end marketing across multiple channels and geographies.
  • Fluent in data-driven decision-making, growth metrics, and media optimization.
  • Deep understanding of customer insights, segmentation, and brand building.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • High emotional intelligence — empathetic, self-aware, and inspiring to teams.
  • A pet parent or animal lover who truly understands the audience we serve.
  • Equally comfortable in boardrooms and brainstorms — strategic, grounded, and hands-on.
