Presales Engineer

Role Overview
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you bridge the gap between technology and business value. You will work closely with Account Executives, Product Managers, and Solution Architects to design and present solutions that address customer challenges - particularly in PLM systems, SaaS Platform and AI-driven workflows. Your expertise will help customers see not just what the product does, but why it matters for their business.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to understand client requirements and craft tailored technical solutions.
- Deliver impactful product demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (POCs), and technical workshops.
- Translate business pain points into technical requirements and solution blueprints.
- Create solution proposals, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation supporting bids and RFPs.
- Work with the product and engineering teams to align customer needs with product roadmap and capabilities.
- Support the sales cycle from discovery to close — including live product demos, pilot setups, and customer onboarding handoff.
- Participate in conferences, webinars, and customer engagements to communicate solution differentiators.
- Stay current with competitive offerings, emerging technologies, and industry trends to position our solution advantageously.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
- 3–7 years of experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or enterprise software delivery.
- Strong understanding of SaaS architectures, APIs, integrations, and cloud ecosystems (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Know-how working with enterprise systems such as PLM, ERP, CRM, or Manufacturing Execution Systems.
- Proven ability to conduct technical demos that simplify complex technology for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills — ability to articulate technical detail as business impact.
- Analytical and consultative mindset; able to translate business pain into solution narratives.
Preferred (Good-to-Have)
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), formulation or regulatory systems in the CPG / BPC / F&B sectors.

- Demo-to-deal conversion rate improvement.
- POC success rate and shortened sales cycle.
- Customer satisfaction and confidence pre-handover.
- Quality of discovery documentation and solution design handoffs.
