Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned and visionary IT – Sr. Group Manager to lead and drive all aspects of IT operations, strategy, and service delivery for our offshore center in India. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and a strong understanding of enterprise systems, global delivery models, and IT governance.

Role Overview:

As the IT – Sr. Group Manager, you will oversee infrastructure management, application development, support services, and IT governance in India. You'll play a critical role in aligning local operations with global IT strategy, ensuring robust service delivery, and fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

Role and Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Provide strategic direction for IT operations in India, ensuring alignment with global technology goals and roadmaps.
• Partner with global IT leaders to drive technology initiatives and cross-regional collaboration.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement across all IT functions.

Application Development & Support

• Lead offshore teams focused on software development, DevOps, QA, and application support.
• Deliver high-quality technology solutions that meet business and global compliance standards.
• Foster a culture of agility, continuous integration, and DevSecOps excellence.

IT Operations & Service Management

• Manage day-to-day IT functions including infrastructure, networking, systems, cybersecurity, and end-user support.
• Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of IT systems and services.
• Implement and maintain ITIL-based service management practices to enhance quality and efficiency.

Talent & Organizational Development

• Build, lead, and retain a high-performing IT team in India.
• Promote professional growth, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
• 18+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior IT role based in India.
• Strong background in managing IT operations for a global enterprise or offshore captive center.
• Deep expertise in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), ERP systems, and cybersecurity.
• Solid understanding of ITIL and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
• Proven track record in leading large, cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects successfully.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities.
• Financial acumen with a clear understanding of IT budget management and cost optimization.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or manufacturing.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or relevant equivalents.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong cross-cultural awareness and experience in a matrixed, global organization.
